Shearing
The guillotine cuts sheet dead straight, edge to edge, in one stroke. It is how most flashings start: a full sheet sheared into strips at the girth, ready for the folder.

What it does#
A blade the length of the machine comes down across the sheet and shears it. The cut is straight and square; there is no heat, no kerf worth measuring and no burn.
Thickness limits#
How thick a sheet the blade will take depends on how hard the metal is:
